From 2007 to 2020 he served as Associate Director of the Center for College Access and Success (formerly the Chicago Teachers' Center) at Northeastern Illinois University, where he was responsible for supervising program directors in the ongoing development and management of academic support projects and was directly responsible for acquiring over $10.8 million in program funds through grant writing.

Sandra McCarthy BA has been with CCG since 2014. She is a member of the program development and
qualitative analysis and evaluation team and is the co-coordinator of the Indiana grant development and evaluation branch of CCG. Sandy brings to the CCG team an expertise in women and gender issues, social and cultural diversity, and social-emotional development. Throughout her career she has facilitated suicide prevention groups and direct crisis intervention—experiences that give her insight into the impact trauma can have on students, teachers, and families.
